The Clip
The BEAR CLAW DRYWALL REPAIR CLIPS are designed to replace a damaged section of drywall with a new section of drywall. The clip is superior to the thin metal repair sheets because it replaces the damaged section with a full 1/2" or 5/8" drywall instead of a flimsy metal patch. The 5/8" BEAR CLAW DRYWALL REPAIR CLIP has been certified for a one-hour fire rating (ASTM E119) and can be utilized for commercial and industrial applications. This is the first product to be introduced to the market with the professional sector specifically in mind. Contractors can now access the interiors of walls and simply keep the removed section to be re-inserted into the wall using the BEAR CLAW DRYWALL REPAIR CLIPS. Plumbers, electricians, network wiring contractors and drywallers can now keep a pack of 50 clips on their trucks and repair walls in seconds without carrying tools and clumsy screws.
The BEAR CLAW DRYWALL REPAIR CLIPS work by using a series of "Claws" compressing into the existing wall. The clips tabs are used to make the face of the patch board perfectly flush with the face of the wall. Many of the repair products presently on the market use the back of the drywall to align the patch. Unfortunately, not all drywall is the exact same thickness and sometime the patches are either depressed or project past the wall. With the BEAR CLAW DRYWALL REPAIR CLIP a 1/2" piece of drywall can be used to patch a 1/2", 5/8" or plaster wall equally as well. Now that's versatility!
